THE RESEARCH BEHIND OUR
LEARNING METHOD
GAMEPLAY
The educational value of gameplay in childhood development is widely supported by research. Through engaging play experiences, children can practice essential skills such as counting, planning, decision-making, and reasoning. Additionally, gameplay offers meaningful opportunities to develop social-emotional competencies like collaboration, communication, and teamwork. These elements make games a powerful tool for fostering holistic development across cognitive, social, and emotional domains.
CHILD-LED
Research consistently shows that children thrive when they are given appropriate autonomy within a structured learning framework. This does not imply an absence of guidance... In fact, adult mentorship and thoughtful scaffolding are critical to success. Providing children with choices and agency over how and what they learn nurtures curiosity, builds independence, and cultivates a lifelong love of learning. The most effective learning environments balance child-led exploration with developmentally appropriate support..
ANIMALS
Animals are able to reach us in ways that humans can’t. There is strong evidence that interactions with animals can positively impact children’s emotional and social well-being. Studies show that animal interaction can reduce anxiety, stress, and symptoms of depression, while also enhancing empathy, communication skills, and social connection. Additionally, animals promote physical activity and provide consistent, nonjudgmental companionship, which can be especially beneficial in developmental and therapeutic settings.
