HEADS UP!

To become a Rescue Legend, you need to fill out the whole form and upload both a photo of your pet and a hand-drawn drawing. We can’t consider incomplete applications, so double check before you hit submit!

Anyone is welcome to apply by sharing their rescue pet’s story. Families, individuals, and caregivers may submit an application. Rescue Legends is designed for children ages 6–12, so stories and game content are created with young audiences in mind.

Step 1: Tell us about your Rescue Pet

Examples:

• My beagle is a galaxy-hopping space dog on a mission to find his legendary glowing green frisbee!

• My tabby cat transforms into a mystical cat-dragon with healing powers and fireballs that blast in all directions!

• My greyhound zooms around the racetrack in a tennis ball-covered car, racing for the ultimate prize—a golden, cheesy pizza trophy!

Step 2: Submit a Photo, Video & Picture

I am at least 18 years old and am submitting this application on my own behalf or, if a child is involved, I am the parent or legal guardian of the child named above. I am the legal owner of the pet described above, or I have permission from the legal owner to submit this application.

I hereby grant full, irrevocable, perpetual, and unrestricted permission to Rescue Legends, its heirs, legal representatives, agents, successors, assigns, and those acting with its authority or on its behalf, to take, use, reuse, publish, and republish the submitted pet’s name, story, likeness, and related media—including but not limited to photographs, illustrations, video recordings, audio recordings, and written descriptions—for purposes including illustration, education, entertainment, promotion, and commercial use.

This may include (but is not limited to) use in trading cards, books, games, educational materials, merchandise (such as plush toys or apparel), digital content, promotional campaigns, social media, website materials, and media coverage. Submission of a pet does not guarantee selection or inclusion in Rescue Legends.

Rescue Legends retains sole editorial and creative discretion over which submissions are selected, how they are represented, and whether they appear in the card game, stories, or other materials. Not all selected Rescue Legends will receive a full story, book, audio adventure, or other narrative content, and that any such stories are developed and released at Rescue Legends’ discretion.

I understand that my pet’s image may be altered, digitally composed, stylized, or used in derivative works in whole or in part, and in any format or media now known or developed in the future, without limitation on changes or alterations, including color, shape, size, background, or context. I waive any moral rights or similar rights of authorship I may have in the submitted media, to the extent permitted by law, and any right to inspect or approve the final product or any associated materials, advertising, or usage.

I release Rescue Legends and its affiliates, agents, successors, or assigns from any and all claims, demands, or liabilities arising out of or in connection with this use—including, but not limited to, claims for libel, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or copyright infringement. I understand and agree that this permission is granted worldwide, in perpetuity, and without expectation of compensation. This release is governed by the laws of the state where Rescue Legends’ principal place of business is located, and any disputes will be handled in that location’s courts.
